Our family photography is primarily characterised as a fusion of traditional, posed imagery enriched with editorial and candid elements. In the tradition of classic family portraiture, we capture composed group shots, ensuring a timeless quality to your images. 

However, our approach goes beyond the conventional; we seamlessly integrate editorial flair, allowing for a more dynamic visual narrative. This entails capturing spontaneous and candid moments that authentically reflect the joy and connection within your family. 

Using a long zoom lens your photographer can discreetly document interactions, fostering a comfortable and natural atmosphere. What sets our style apart is the emphasis on capturing not only posed perfection but also those in-between moments that epitomize genuine laughter and connection.

​Clothing Considerations:

Our objective is to provide our families with artwork to adorn their walls. Therfore, when preparing for family portraits, we suggest you begin by reflecting on the mood of the intended living space where the portraits will be displayed. Whether it's a casual or formal setting, the colour palette and decor theme should guide your clothing choices. Take inspiration from our Pinterest board for visual inspiration.

Top Tips for Clothing:

Choose Your Outfit First: 

As the most critical judge of your appearance, selecting your outfit first sets the theme for the entire family's attire.​

Cover Arms: 

Regardless of body size, opt for clothing with sleeves to create a flattering look.

Avoid Logos and Prints: 

Logos and prints can detract from the focus on the family, so it's advisable to choose solid colors and patterns.

Avoid Short Skirts and Falling Straps: 

Especially for young children, we don't want to miss a beautiful moment because underwear is showing or a strap has fallen down. Best to find something that fits perfectly, you can test durability by having your child sit on the ground at home with the outfit on.  ​

Light Clothing for Beach Portraits: 

For beach portraits, light and neutral tones contribute to a beautiful and fresh aesthetic.

Dark Colors for Slenderizing: 

If you're feeling uncomfortable about your weight at the moment, don't let that stop you from booking family portraits! Dark clothing tends to have a slenderizing effect, providing a timeless and flattering appearance in portraits.​ 

Coordinate for Large Groups: 

When photographing large groups, choose a color theme and communicate it to the entire family. Share an image from the Pinterest board to ensure everyone coordinates seamlessly.

Your outfit selection will enhance the visual harmony of your portraits, creating timeless and aesthetic memories that add life to the living space you hang your artwork.

​Following your family portrait session, your private online gallery opens within 4 business days. 

The gallery is open for a 2-week window for viewing and ordering. 

Digital downloads are instant, while printed products take 2 weeks before being shipped to your doorstep. 

This efficient processing ensures that not long after your return from your holidays, you'll be reminded again with your wall art and products ready to adorn your living space.​

​Photographs undergo editing for a vibrant, light, and bright effect, ensuring print readiness. 

While this service is integral to the base package, retouching is an additional option, incurring extra charges due to the supplementary time invested by our editors. 

Retouching is charged at $3-$7AUD per file, depending on the complexity of the request.

​Wet Weather

In the case of wet weather conditions, you may choose between proceeding with the photo session or opting for rescheduling. Rainfall, depending on its intensity, can introduce a playful and unique element, capturing your family navigating the weather together.   If you proceed we can provide umbrellas for your convenience. 

If you decide to reschedule, we will offer flexibility, even outside of our usual appointments to accommodate your potentially limited time on the Sunshine Coast​. In instances where a suitable alternative cannot be arranged, a full refund option is extended.

Illness

Sessions may be rescheduled due to illness, recognizing the importance of an enjoyable experience for all participants. While there is no rescheduling fee if notified at least 7 days before the session, a $50 fee applies for changes made with less than 7 days' notice. 

This fee reflects the impact on the business schedule and acknowledges the opportunity cost for other families unable to secure the initially booked slot. If we can fill your time slot we will not require your fee, however, this cannot be guaranteed. We will try our best.​
